Epoxy Topcoat

Abstract

Tempo Epoxy Topcoat is a conventional aerospace polyamide epoxy for interior applications.Developed initially for aerospace applications it is also suitable for defense applications.

Surface Preparation

Remove all dirt, grease, oil, loose rust, scale or other surface contaminants from the substrate. On ferrous substrates SSPC 6 Commercial Blasting will enhance the performance of the coating system. If sanding is the preferred method of surface preparation 100-120 grit paper is recommended to create a surface profil for better adhesion.On aluminum substrates sandblasting or a suitable etch primer will enhance the performance properties of the primer.For aerospace use, follow proper pretreatment specification

Mixing Instructions

Mix 1:1 by volume Base/Activator thoroughly. Allow 15-30 minutes induction time before using. Mix only sufficien material to use within the specifie pot life. Always add reducer to the mixed product (base + catalyst), never the opposite.

Spray Viscosity

Recommended spray viscosity 18-20 seconds, #2 ZahnReduce product at room temperature to the desired spray viscosity for your application equipment.
