Surface Preparation

Must be clean and free from dirt, oil, grease, rust or other contaminants. Sandblasting to SSPC SP-6 or better is recommended. Proper surface preparation will enhance the performance of the coating system. Aluminum may be prepared by means of an appropriate acid etch or orbital sanding with 80 grit as well.

Mixing Instructions

Mix 3:1 by volume, reduce 25%-35%. We recommend using a squirrel mixer or equivalent and mix thoroughly for 5 minutes minimum. Mix only sufficient material to use within a 3-hour period (C-21XS). Always add Cure component to Base component. Never mix coating or individual component from one vendor with that of another vendor.
